There is a lot of buzz these days about an upcoming The The live tour for 2012. Is it just rumour or is there something more exciting in the works.

The The are an English musical group that have been active since 1979, with singer/songwriter Matt Johnson being the only constant band member.

The band’s website is currently under construction with the note that “Arriving mid-January New website. New Releases. New news!” We hope like other fans of the band this means the release of a new album and tour information.

There are hints in the poem also on the band’s website. In the words of Matt Johnson & family… “2012’s almost here , Ascension time for some… like 1984 and 2000 in recently passed years… good things wing their way to all good peoples”

Could this be references to the band’s albums Soul Mining (1984) and Naked Self(2000)? We hope so and will anxiously be watching the site for more news.
